I was extremely happy with my old s5 till it went BLACK SCREEN! I was seriously considering an upgrade to either the s7 or s8. But, a few things came up and funds grew tight so I figured that giving the far more inexpensive j7 Perx would be a tolerable short term fix. Uh oh, looks like I was wrong again! Short term nothing! How about 6 days on one charge on average? Or an incredibly brilliant screen? Or a nice jump in screen size, but not preposterously huge. The processors fast, the sound quality is great, the connectivity is tight and it is extremely user friendly.
I'm sticking with this beauty till another visit from the BLACK SCREEN OF DOOM. If it's as durable as my dear old s5, that'll be about 4years from now.

I purchased these items to charge the BP85A battery in my Samsung PL210. (Although the Amazon product description does not list the PL210, Samsung lists these product IDs as being for the PL210). My camera did not come with the AC adapter/cable as it was an open box item. Samsung states that a full charge should be reached in 150 - 180 minutes. The first charge was for overnight at approximately 8 hours (480 minutes) and at the end of charging the battery indicator on the camera LCD screen showed 2 out of 3 bars - not a full charge. I continued to charge during the day and into the next evening for a total charge time of approximately 20 hours (1200 minutes). I turned on the camera and the battery indicator showed 3 out of 3 bars - for about the next two minutes - at which point it dropped down to 2 bars.

The phone looks as advertised and come with a charger (110V), a key to open the slots and headphones.

HOWEVER, within a few days of using it, the screen has started freezing when tapping on it. It started with the camera app while taking phones. You keep touching the screen but the phone does not respond. Sometimes it takes more than a minute and I have to close the camera and reopen it. It has now started happening in other apps. I find this very strange since I have had the phone about 2 weeks now if so much...

It uses the micro sim cards and has two slots and a space for adding more storage space. The photo quality is very good, both front and back and it has a built in flashlight app. A+ for me. One less app to download.

Feel free to ask me any questions... I'm considering returning it for a replacement however.

First of all, I'd like to thank Amazon because they, for some miraculous reason, sold me this phone brand new for $317. How, I don't know, considering retail on Virgin's website is $399. The point I'm trying to get across is if Amazon drops the price of this phone substantially, believe that it is no scam. It's just flat-out generosity.

Now, on to the phone.

Even though I had large savings on this device, it is well worth it even if you pay full price. I came from an HTC Evo 3D which I thought was a fantastic, capable device, but there truly is a difference between a flagship and non-flagship. The Evo had great specs, despite being non-flagship, both on paper and performance-wise, and on a scale of 1 to 10, I would gladly put it at an 8.5 or 9. However, this Galaxy is a 12 on that same scale. It really stands out as a true flagship because of its performance and build quality. This phone is plastic vs. the Evo's half metal/half rubberized plastic build but I still appreciate the Galaxy's build quality more. The phrase, "you get what you pay for" could never be more true than here. This phone is unparalleled on the Virgin selection, as of the time of this review. I can only see it bested by the Galaxy S4 or Note 2, but surprisingly, not by much. Plus, let's remember this is a no-contract device on a $35/month plan. Unbeatable.

The Processor

This Galaxy is not the Galaxy S3 i9300 version (international quad-core 1.4GHz version, 1GB RAM). This is the US version (dual core 1.5GHz version, 2GB RAM). I haven't had the international version so I can't make a comparison, but I can say that this processor is extremely capable, unsurprisingly. You will not notice lag, even if you intentionally open a lot of apps to test its performance.Read more

Had the s5 And i loved it until it was stolen from me. I knew i couldn't afford another one so i searched for other options. I dont like zte phones and the htc phone that competes with this one is the same exact phone only different sofware. Anyways this phone is like a mini s5 has quad core processor, No hd screen but the resolution is good enough. Camera is great not the best not the worst. Battery life is awesome can day 12 hrs with heavy use. I have a 128 gb sd card and it reads and loads up pics fast.
This phone also includes in ear head phones like the s5 did. Overall for now im gonna keep this phone i would prefer an hd display and a processor like the s5s but for the price this may be be best phone Boost has to offer under 200. Better than the s3 Minus the display

To do this, open the video player application and tap the icon on the bottom right of the display. After that, you will be able to drag the video nearby the display.

4) Launching camera with request for retrial control: You can use the request for retrial control function of the S3 to speedily inaugurate the camera app. From the lock screen, just perform tap and hold function on the display and rotate the phone into the scenery mode to open the camera.
